LAWTHER, Deb….
Peacefully surrounded by her family, Deb passed on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, in her 64th year. Beloved wife of Robert Lawther. Loving mother of Dillon and Jessica. Dear daughter-in-law of Ian Lawther. Predeceased by her Mother Olive Scott (2008), Father Garnett Emery (1960), Sisters Ruth Bosman (2012) and Della Mumby (2016). Dearly missed by her sister, Ferne Aide, sister-in-law Reina Lamothe and brother-in-laws Bob Mumby and Derek Lawther. Special Aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Oncologists at the London Regional Cancer Care Program and the Staff in the Palliative Care team at Victoria Hospital; we are forever grateful for the compassion and support provided to Deb. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of Deb’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 12-5pm at Klondyke Trailer Park (in the main office), 9921 Lakeshore Road, Grand Bend, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that you please make a donation in Deb’s name to the Children’s Health Foundation, 345 Westminster Avenue, London, ON N6C 4V3 or to the London Regional Cancer Program, 800 Commissioners Road East, London, ON N6A 5W9. So saddened to hear about Deb. She always seemed to be so upbeat even through all of this turmoil she went through. She was a very kind and lovely person. Our sympathies to all of the family.
Rob, Dillon, Jessica, my heart and my soul are with you. It will be very difficult most days. Accept that. Express your feelings. I am always here for all of you.

I still can’t believe how much Deb stuck to being so positive in her lady days.
She really tried to hang tough and was an amazing Mom an wife I’m sure..

Rob, you and your family are in my thoughts since Deb passed on. I was honoured and blessed to know Deb and will miss her. We will never forget her witty stories and her laughter – I know she is telling stories in heaven now! My sympathies to you all and please call me if I can be of help to you.

So sorry for your loss. Deb was such a laugh and always a smile and a funny story to tell. I worked with Deb in ECIA years ago. She was a gem.

I was speechless and saddened to hear of your loss. Deb, as I remember was a strong and vivacious woman. What was so admiral to me, was she lived her life with great strength and on her own terms.

To the Lawther family – We have many good memories of your family from the hockey days. Always enjoyed talking to Deb. So sorry that she had those health issues, but sounds like she handled them bravely.
