TILSON, Cheryl Ann (nee Burkett)….
At the age of 60, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, Cheryl left us peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. She will be forever missed by her husband of 36 years Mark Tilson and daughter Lindsay Sinclair (Spencer). Unfortunately, Cheryl will not be present at the birth of her granddaughter in March, however, we know she will be watching over us. Daughter of Janet and the late Floyd Burkett. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her siblings; Karin Philp (Paul), Carl Burkett (Janice), Nancy Butler (Kirby) and Lori Smith (Glen). Survived by brothers-in-law; David Tilson, Robert Morse (Lisa) and Matthew Morse (Margaret). She was adored by her many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a devoted and passionate employee of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) for over 35 years. She was the manager of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and was the Lead Redevelopment Specialist playing an integral role in the creation of the newly operating OTMH as well as the Milton District Hospital. Cheryl had an amazing work family that she loved dearly and we are so grateful for their support and kindness over the last year throughout Cheryl’s cancer journey. Thank you to Dr. Juergens, Dr. Mehta, Dr. Okawara, Dr. Forbes and in her final days Dr. Schotz and Dr. Ozkowski. Many thanks to the nursing staff on C3 who diligently cared for her in her final hours. Cremation has taken place with celebration of life details to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Cremation London & Middlesex, 519-858-2467. Mark and Lindsay. Please accept our sincere condolences on Cheryl’s passing.
Mark, Lindsay, my deepest condolences on Cheryl’s passing. I was shocked to see the notice.
First met Cheryl at the OTMH in the mid-80’s, doing service in the department.
My thoughts are with you at this time…
