LAIR, Madeleine….

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Madeleine Evelyn Lair (nee Bigras) (Nielson) announce the passing of our beautiful angel with family by her side on Monday, August 26, 2019.

Devoted and cherished wife of 51 years to her soul mate Art Lair. She will be tremendously missed by her children Roger (Alison) and Sherry-Lynn, and her grandchildren Siniece, Siara, Brock, Seth and Philip. Loved sister of Norman (Juliana), and Rita (Jamie) and sister-in-law of Roger (Kay), Yvonne, Bernadette (the late Sue), Brian (Janet), Debbie (Jean-Luc) and Pauline. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews and extended family. Pre-deceased by her parents Hans and Gertrude (nee Larcher) Nielson and Palma Bigras and her sister Collette. Also pre-deceased by her great-grandson Ryker Holden Lair whom she is cradling now.

Madeleine was the epitome of grace and honour. She devoted her life to her family and was a foster mother to hundreds of children over many years. The world has become a little dimmer without her halo to illuminate us. Cremation has taken place and the family has decided there will be no service.
