BREMNER, Janet Jean (nee Brush)
At St. Joseph’s Hospital (Parkwood), London, ON, Canada on 17, July, 2024, Janet Jean Bremner of Sarnia passed away peacefully with family by her side. Beloved wife of Norman Bremner, predeceased. Much loved and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother of: son John, his wife Lee Ann of Sugar Land, TX, and their children, Michael of Sugar Land, TX and Steven of Littleton, CO; son Paul, his wife Louise Daw of London, ON and their children, daughter Emily, husband Jeff and their daughters Piper and Scarlett of Toronto, ON, and son Geoffrey of London, ON; and son Bill and his wife Janis, of Singapore. Survived by beloved brother John Brush, his wife Ann, of Harrow, ON, and their family. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Stanberry, of Aurora, CO. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Odessa Brush of Harrow, ON. Janet is also predeceased by two later-in-life, loving partners William Dawson QC and David Dell, both of Sarnia, ON.
Janet, a Bachelors graduate from the University of Western Ontario (1954) and sorority sister of Kappa Alpha Theta, devoted over twenty five years working professionally as a Registered Dietician in the healthcare foodservice sector in Ontario and Michigan where she was highly regarded by her many institutional clients. Following retirement, she also enjoyed an enriching career extension working for University Scholarships of Canada helping young families plan for their children’s educations. Janet was also an enthusiastic conservationist and faithfully served as a multi-term President and long-term Board Member of Lambton Wildlife Inc. over more than twenty years.
Beyond professional life, Janet and Norm were keen, competitive curlers at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. They were also avid sailors and active members of the Sarnia Yacht Club. Janet’s career in foodservice extended lovingly into her kitchen at home as an accomplished chef and baker.
Janet’s remains will be cremated and later interred at Blackwell Cemetery, Sarnia. No funeral service is to be held.
