Malcolm Hepple Bull
BULL, Malcolm Hepple
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Malcolm Hepple Bull on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in his 79th year. Predeceased by his parents Evelyn Margaret & Joseph Eric “John” Bull, O.B.E. and his two sisters Anne Colvin and Shirley Bull. We are grateful that he was able to spend his last five days at home with his family by his side. Malcolm will be missed by Anne, Jonathan, Jillian & Yoshinobu Takami, Jennifer & Aaron Ball, Jaclyn & Kevin Shelson, and grandchildren Emily & Claire. With his distinctive grin and twinkle in his eye, he enjoyed telling jokes or stories to anyone who would listen, especially if they were about his children. We are extremely grateful and proud to have had such a wonderful man for a father. There is comfort in knowing how special he was to so many others. Malcolm was born in Khartoum, Sudan, attended boarding schools in England, joined the Bermuda Police force at 18, emigrated to Toronto at 23, and started a sales career working his way from regional manager at Bristol Myers to vice-president of the former O-Pee-Chee Company of London. He continued his success with the creation of his own company Simply Candy Ltd. and in his “retirement”, he both invented and founded the Original Stick Chair, which has been sold around the world. We feel Malcolm had an extraordinary life and he was deeply touched by all of the kind words he received, as well as annoyed for “creating such a fuss for everyone”. We will miss him immensely and will be remembering him at a Memorial Gathering which will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 12-3 pm at the Highland Country Club, 1922 Highland Heights, London, with words of remembrance being shared at 12:30 pm. We welcome his friends, neighbours, and acquaintances to drop in and share a story for Malcolm. Online condolences may be sent to sales@stickchair.com.
Donations in memory of Malcolm may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program, c/o London Health Sciences Foundation, 747 Base Line Road East, London, ON N6C 2R6. Arrangements entrusted with Cremation London & Middlesex, 519-858-2467.

George Turland
TURLAND, George Edward
June 7, 1950 – September 25, 2019George Edward Turland passed away on the morning of Wednesday, September 25 at Queens Village for Seniors in London, Ontario, at the age of 69. George was the eldest son of Arthur and Norine Turland (both predeceased) of Kincardine, Ontario. His childhood years were spent in Bayfield and Goderich where he excelled at academics and athletics. In his late teens, George developed schizophrenia which severely impacted his quality of life; there were many ups and downs, therapies and treatments. Nonetheless, George was determined to live independently and so settled in London where strong mental health and community services were available. He lived in housing supported by WOTCH (now CMHA-Middlesex) and worked for many years as a school crossing guard, a job he took seriously, and was pleased to be awarded “crossing guard of the month”. George was an accomplished piper and as a teen competed at highland games across Ontario. Over the years he piped with the Goderich Pipe Band, the Forest City Pipe Band and the London Police Pipes and Drums. Later in life, his mental illness led him to give up piping. George was a great reader and participated in the Cherryhill Library book club. He also enjoyed euchre games, attending church, chats with friends, family celebrations, watching skating and bus day trips. George was charitable and supported World Vision, the Salvation Army, and other causes. This past summer, when he was no longer able to manage stairs, George moved into Queens Village and immediately felt well cared for and was very happy to be part of that community – he said that he felt that he had “moved to the sunny side of the street”. George will be remembered for always being ready with a smile and a corny joke and will be dearly missed by siblings Rosemary (Ed Addison), Charles (Rhonda), James (Becky Grieveson), Susan (the late Bernard Joly), Robert (Eve Geisler), Brenda (Bob Colquhoun), and his extended family. He was “Uncle George” to 16 nieces and nephews. Those who knew George are welcome to join the family for a memorial service at the Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, London at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 with a reception to follow. George’s family would like to acknowledge the support provided throughout George’s adult life by CMHA Middlesex, and by his case workers and volunteer visitors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: CMHA Middlesex, 534 Queens Avenue, London, ON N6B 1Y6 or the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, 95 King Street East, Suite 300, Toronto, ON M5C 1G4. Arrangements entrusted with Cremation London & Middlesex, 519-858-2467. Online condolences shared at www.cremationlondon.com
When my wife passed away I was very distraught when the hospital told me I needed to inform them where I would like her body sent to. I had no idea how to proceed. I really lucked out when I found these very kind Souls on the internet. Bailey and the rest of the staff we’re very informed and professional and helped me through all the steps that I needed to take. They also put all the information in a nice folder that came in handy for all the other paperwork that I needed for the lawyer, Etc. I would highly recommend them.
At a time when decisions are difficult turn to the kind staff at Cremation London. I lost someone very close to me. Cremation London was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely accommodating.
Amazing! I can not be any more happy with the professional, caring and compassionate service we received . Kelly was PERFECT!!! I feel we have become FRIENDS after dealing with the most tragic experience of losing a family member so suddenly. That shows her true caring heart. She went beyond expectations!
