Dr. Allen Pearson
Dr. Allen Pearson passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at his residence in London, ON at the age of 71. Originally from Branchville, NJ, Allen is survived by his brother Peter and sister-in-law Betty Pearson of Andover, NJ. Allen was predeceased by his parents, George and Jean (Eagleson) Pearson. A graduate of Colgate University and having received a PhD at Cornell University, he was a professor of education at the University of Alberta until 1995. Allen then served as Dean of Education at the University of Western Ontario until 2007, and continued as a full-time Faculty member until his retirement in 2010, after which he was appointed Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Research Professor. Allen also held the position of treasurer of the local NDP party. In keeping with the family’s wishes, a memorial service will be held in Allen’s honor on Tuesday, June 14th at 2pm at the St. John Evangelist Chapel at Huron University College at 1349 Western Road, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allen’s memory may be made to help support students at the faculty of Education at UWO. Suddenly on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at University Hospital, Brenda Marie Lutman (née Marino) passed away at the age of 65 surrounded by her family. Cherished wife of John Lutman. Beloved mother of Scott Clayton and his fiancé Carolyn Lamont. She will be sadly missed by her parents, Joseph and Reta Marino, her siblings Connie (Paul) Markle, Scott Marino, Mark (Rose) Marino, Brad (Tracy) Marino, Grant (Heidi) Marino, Clarke Marino, Chris Marino and Lisa (Mike) Keller. Brenda was a much loved aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Loving daughter-in-law to Lillian Davis. She will also be missed by friend and companion, her dog, Spencer. Cremation has taken place. At Brenda’s request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Brenda’s life will occur at a later date.A special thank you to the 5th floor Cardiac Care Unit and ICU staff of University Hospital, and the London Diabetes Foot Clinic for all their care and compassion. With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Betty (Schwartzentruber) Pardy in her 69th year. Cherished mother of Michelle (Scott) Baker, Deb Best (Gary Bruckler), Trevor Pardy (Mandy Redmond). Proud grandmother of Jocelyne, Justin, Chloe and Peyton. Dear sister of Barbara (John) Duits, Ken (Moe) Schwartzentruber, Doug (Helen) Schwartzentruber, Brenda (Larry) Ehnes and Joe (Liane) Schwartzentruber. Also survived by her sister-in-law Elinor Schwartzentruber. Dear friend of Daniel Montross. Predeceased by her parents Delton and Frieda Schwartzentruber and her brothers Dave and Garry Schwartzentruber and his wife Gloria. Her family will always remember her fun loving ways and very giving nature. Betty retired from Cargill Canada (Cuddys) after providing over 30 years of dedicated service. During this time she was an advocate for her fellow co-workers as a representative of UFCW. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to join us at the Civic Gardens, 625 Springbank Dr. London, ON, on Monday February 8th between 5:30-8:30 pm. When my wife passed away I was very distraught when the hospital told me I needed to inform them where I would like her body sent to. I had no idea how to proceed. I really lucked out when I found these very kind Souls on the internet. Bailey and the rest of the staff we’re very informed and professional and helped me through all the steps that I needed to take. They also put all the information in a nice folder that came in handy for all the other paperwork that I needed for the lawyer, Etc. I would highly recommend them.
At a time when decisions are difficult turn to the kind staff at Cremation London. I lost someone very close to me. Cremation London was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely accommodating.
Amazing! I can not be any more happy with the professional, caring and compassionate service we received . Kelly was PERFECT!!! I feel we have become FRIENDS after dealing with the most tragic experience of losing a family member so suddenly. That shows her true caring heart. She went beyond expectations!
