Darrell Densmore
Obituary
DENSMORE, Darrell…
Peacefully with his wife and son by his side on Monday, October 5, 2026, Darrell Densmore passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Nancy (Hawthorne) Densmore for 43 years. Proud and Loving father of Adam Densmore. Loving Grandpa of Myles, Oliver, and Elodie. Dear brother of Donna Densmore and brother-in-law of Bonnie, Carol, and Mary (Chris). Predeceased by his brothers David and Del. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Darrell had an incredible eye for design and a natural sense of style, always dressing with impeccable taste. His quick wit, sense of humour, and signature sarcasm were a big part of who he was and often brought laughter to those around him. Beneath it all, he had an enormous heart, especially when it came to the people he loved. He was fiercely loyal, deeply loving, and cared wholeheartedly for those closest to him. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to London Health Sciences Centre – Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre or Palliative Care. Cremation London & Middlesex entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences accepted at www.cremationlondon.com

I am so deeply sorry for your loss; no one can truly understand the pain of what you are going through. I want you to know that you are not alone. In these incredibly difficult times, I wish with all my heart that I could give you a little of the strength and love you need. I will always remember Darrel with great affection and cherish the beautiful moments and memories we shared.
I send you a heartfelt embrace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family.
Darrell I will always remember the goofy times we had together. I loved your sarcasm, quick wit and devious humor. You will be missed my friend but never forgotten.
It is hard and it will be difficult to eventually accept your passing, for all who loved you, understood you and so enjoyed being around you.
On a personal level I was very very lucky to have you in my corner and on my side. I don’t think people could see the amount of comfort and support you gave me whenever I felt grief sadness or lost. You were a great brother-in-law and a great friend. A friend I will never forget . You will always be in my thoughts and I hope Adam and Nancy know I’ll always stand beside them. Till we meet again.
Uncle Darrell, thank you for all the laughs, your dry humor and for being Aunt Nancy’s person for all the years. Thank you for the love you’ve given me and your great grand nephews and being so incredibly easy to love back. While it breaks my heart that I didn’t get to say goodbye, I’m so glad you were surrounded by the people that meant the most. We will miss you endlessly. Xoxo
Uncle Darrell was the one who could have us all in stitches with a single one- liner. Who we could blast great tunes (like Carlos Santana), and appreciate fine art with. He would pop by the house or call and check in and see how we’re all doing. We loved hearing about his adventures in Mexico with aunt Nancy and love of the food and culture there. We used have a great time out on the boat or to the beach. A great uncle. He will be so greatly missed, and his love will carry on in our hearts and memories ❤️
Nancy and family,
We are thinking of all of you during this time of sorrow.

Dear Nancy, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know Darrell well, but the few times our paths crossed over the years, I was always struck by his peaceful, quiet energy.. that made everyone feel comfortable around him. That’s a rare gift and it’s how I will remember him..

I knew Darrell as my closest friend during middle school in Alberta and we became so close when we went skiing in Jasper and Montana. our love of skiing and being in the mountains keep us close and bonded as friends. My wife Sylvie and myself Kelly Calkins were blessed a few years back when Nancy and Darrell came to visit us in Alberta on there way to the mountains then B.C. I will always treasure my time spent with Darrell as he was an exceptional man and friend. The years apart melted away when I was blessed to see him again and meet his lovely wife. You will always have a special place in my heart Darrell and my condolences to your wife and family, my wish was to travel to London to visit and meet his son and grandchildren that I know he was so very fond of. I will miss your calls my friend.
To A great life long friend and all that was said of him is true. Will miss him dearly.

It’s so difficult to summarize my memory book of Darrell that contains so much love, joy, laughter and fun over almost 50 years of friendship. Our hearts are broken for my dearest friend, Nancy and godson Adam. Drag races and canoeing, boat trips and of course our beloved times together in Puerto Vallarta are just some of the things that remind me of the adventures we had. Darrell’s unique and brilliant eye for design and colour were an inspiration. I remember the pride in his voice the night Adam was born, the love, care and support he’s given to Nancy. We cherish the memories of his wit and sarcasm, and will forever remember that hearty ha, ha, ha laugh. We are lucky to have been a part of his life and blessed with the memories that will never fade. Rest easy my darling, and know that while our time together was cut short, you are forever loved in our hearts.
