Eric Jarmain
Obituary
JARMAIN, Eric…
Eric Robert Jarmain passed away at Victoria Hospital, London, on the morning of October 5th, 2022 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Anne for 49 years. Loving father to Erin (Ahmed Hammoud), Graydon, Kaila (Jordan Morris), Tory, India and his devoted dog, Danny. Proud grandfather of Amir and Talal. Eric was the fourth child to his parents, Ruth and Ed, and dear brother to Ted, Kelly (d. 2021), Lowell and Julie.
He had a beautiful, accomplished life. From performing live commercials and selling cable TV as a child, to hosting unforgettable dinner parties, to running multiple successful businesses in manufacturing, marketing and real estate. He was a Chairman and board member of Museum London for many years, and an avid supporter of arts and culture. His loves included travel, broadway musicals, tea, shortbreads, meatloaf, and Hallmark movies. Above all else, his greatest love was his family.
Eric was an eternal optimist. He was talented, creative and innovative but he was best known for his incredible kindness and made friends everywhere he went. He wasn’t simply a good person, he was a great one, the kind we all aspire to be, and his legacy will forever inspire the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honour at 473 Baker Street from 5-8pm on October 14th. Donations in Eric’s memory may be made to Museum London. Arrangements entrusted with Cremation London & Middlesex, 519-858-2467. Online condolences shared at www.cremationlondon.com
Dad- you were an incredible man, an incredible father and a fighter. I’m incredibly grateful for everything that you taught me and will never forget the amazing times that we had. I remember when you and I went to Florida on my March break and we stopped in Nashville at the grand ‘Ol Oprey. You touched the lives of many and left many lasting impressions with everyone who you came into contact. I will always remember all the stories that you would share with us. I want you to always remember how much you are loved and I will always tell myself what you always told me, “ never try to cross bridges before you get to them.” I love you so much and will cherish every moment that we had. I promise to make you proud.
Miss you soo much, but am at peace knowing that you are free from your pain.
Love always,
Graydon ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Our sincere condolences to Family and Friends. Eric and I worked at London TV Cable on Piccadilly St in the 60’s. A great place to work and a great Family as well as staff.
Even though we lost touch over the years Eric and his family always remained a precious memory in our lives. Our Cable TV years demonstrated in spades Eric’s creativity and incredible integrity as well as his great sense of humour. A significant risk taker and entrepreneur he always sought the best for others.
We mourn Eric’s loss but thank God for having Eric model for us his love of neighbours, family, friends and community. To Anne and Family we express our appreciation, love and sympathies as you mourn Eric’s passing but also celebrate his life among us.
