John Jeffrey Sagel passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on Wednesday October 7, 2026 in London, Ontario.
Loving Husband of 44 years to Georgena. Proud Father of Michael and Christina Sagel. Remembered always by his grandchildren Alexus, Zhayon and Naarah and their mother Maria Daligcon.
John was born in Holland in 1955. He came to Canada at age two. From a young age, John had a passion for cars. In his younger years he enjoyed drag racing his Buick. Later in life he and Georgena spent many summers attending auto swap meets together.
John was a hardworking man who spent more than 40 years working as a forklift operator and warehouse manager. He took great pride in his work, and his children will fondly remember driving with their dad as he pointed out the many buildings he had worked on over the years.
John was a private man, but he was loyal and dedicated to his family. He would do anything to show them how much he cared for them and loved to spoil his them. He was a true family man always making time for his children. John’s children will forever remember the dirt bike rides, canoe and fishing trips, especially how he would always get the kids to place the worm on the hook.
John had strong opinions and loved sharing his ideas about the world. His family will forever remember his logical perspective on the world and his insightful thoughts on politics.
