My condolences to the Rowland family during this difficult time. I’ve known Mike since my Gr.13 history class we had together at H.B. Beal Secondary School back in 1978. I vividly remember Mike as an outstanding high school athlete in football. Upon graduation, he continued playing football for the home town London Beefeaters of the Canadian Junior Football League and had a professional try-out with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL!
My heart broke when I heard of Mike’s passing. He truly was one of a kind and will be sadly missed. He said it as it was and genuine to the core. Just a great guy truly. My deepest sympathy for the entire family.
He kept a promise to me for all these years, I will never ever forget him for keeping that promise. He loved his girls, I am so grateful to him for that, Eileen.
