MCNAUGHT: Randy William…
Passed away in the hospital on Friday, May 29, 2026, with his wife by his side, after a long, hard fought journey with cancer. Randy leaves behind his wife, Linda, son Dave and daughter Katie. His grandchildren and family will remember him fondly.
A proud retired member of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Golden Helmets Precision Motorcycle Riding Team, an even more proud family man. Randy was an avid rule follower, Tim Horton’s coffee fan, motorcycle rider, and long story teller.
As per Randy’s request cremation has taken place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation.

Randy was our “Cool Uncle”. Only 11 years my senior we watched on as he drove cars, motorcycles and became an OPP officer. AND he did some modelling, appearing in newspaper ads for Oshawa clothier Murray Johnson!
Very sorry to hear this. Randy was a good guy. Had no idea he was ailing. I was on the Golden Helmets with Randy in the mid eighties. One year we did a few shows at the London Fair and stayed in the area for several nights. Randy and Rollie Oliver were pilots and over 2 nights took the team flying, from London down to Windsor for dinner and back. Half the team each night. That was a memorable experience. Randy was an great team Emcee, always very cool and professional and usually never at a loss for words, but there was that one time….a show in St Catharines in 1983 when I put on a fake moustache for the introductions. Rest in peace Randy.
My Condolences to the family
Randy was my mentor who became a dear friend. Great riding and better conversations for so many years. He is missed.
My condolences and may Randy rest in peace. I worked with Randy in London. I was Admin. I remember Randy popping into the office with David and Katie. Katie always left me with a hand drawn picture. Randy was always happy and helpful. A great loss.
So sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. I had the privilege of knowing, working and ride OPP motorcycle with Randy… we warmly called him “Baby Cop” because he always looked so young. My condolence to the family. Lyle Smith

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Our condolences to Randy’s family.
Randy was a person I had great respect for as a police officer and as a team member. He had a very strong ethical center and was committed to doing the right things.
Randy always had a smile and a hand shake. A true gentleman. Condolences. We lost someone special. I lost a friend.
Randy was an “experienced officer “ in London (1997), my first detachment. He was a great source of advice and humour on how to be a cop’s cop.
My thoughts and prayers for his family
